BOTOX® 50 U
Product Description
BOTOX® is a botulinum type A product. A wrinkle injection that treats glabellar lines and other wrinkles by temporarily blocking the release of acetylcholine from nerves, helping prevent muscle movement in the area and relaxing the skin.
Presentation/Quantity
Each package contains 1 vial of white powder for solution.
Main Benefits
BOTOX® 50 U is a prominent treatment in eliminating dynamic wrinkles, such as moderate to severe crow’s feet and glabellar lines, caused by excessive facial movement. When injected intramuscularly, this FDA-approved substance suppresses the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, thereby reducing facial movement. This relaxes and softens the skin above the affected muscles, giving the patient a more youthful appearance.
Ingredients
This formula is comprised of OnabotulinumtoxinA (Botulinum toxin type A), human albumin, and sodium chloride
Ingredient Information
Botulinum toxin type A is a neurotoxin that inhibits the actions of acetylcholine. With this, it induces muscular paralysis. This substance is sourced from Clostridium botulinum bacteria, which are known to cause botulism when ingested.
With its muscle-relaxing abilities, Botulinum toxin type A has a variety of cosmetic and medical benefits. When used on the facial muscles, it relaxes the look of dynamic wrinkles to create a more youthful appearance. It may also be used to treat a variety of neuromuscular disorders, such as blepharospasm, strabismus, cervical dystonia, overactive bladder, chronic migraines, and hyperhidrosis.
Use Information
How Do I Use BOTOX®?
This procedure may only be performed by doctors with the appropriate knowledge of treatment with Botulinum neurotoxins.
To reconstitute the powder, inject saline slowly into the provided vial, gently mixing it via rotation. Ensure that there are no foreign particles and a clear solution is observed. Then, attach a 30–33G needle to the syringe for injection.
For glabellar lines, inject a dose of 0.1ml into the 5 indicated treatment sites (2 in each corrugator muscle and 1 in the procerus muscle). For crow’s feet, inject 0.1ml of Botox® into each of the 6 indicated sites.
After the injection, dispose of all syringes, needles, and vials safely. For more information on dosages and proper dilution techniques, refer to the enclosed product leaflet.
When Should I Use It?
Cosmetically, Botox® 50U is suitable for eliminating dynamic wrinkles. This makes it an excellent choice for aging patients who are looking to refresh their appearance.
What Areas Can I Treat With Botox®?
This treatment may be used to temporarily correct moderate to severe vertical lines between the eyebrows (seen at maximum frown) and horizontal forehead lines (seen at maximum contraction).
How Long Do Results Last?
Generally, results may last up to 4 months after treatment. However, this may vary from patient to patient based on a variety of factors, including age, metabolism, and the treated area. If patients are happy with their results, they may receive top-up treatments, which should occur no sooner than 3 months after the original injection.
How Long Does The Procedure Take?
The procedure takes around 30 minutes to complete, and clients can return to their daily schedule and routine immediately afterwards. After 3 days, they will begin to notice their results, with full wrinkle reduction being observed by day 30.
